LACROIX Electronics
In the electronics industry, it is customary to speak of Box Build to describe the integration and assembly of an electronics system or sub-system integrated into a cabinet, a rack, or another mechanical housing. Whether they are electronics cards, LEDs, connectors or cables, this all-important “box” contains a number of different materials for complex applications.
Unlike a basic electronics card, a Box Build represents a finished product, ready for use by the customer.
In avionics sector, these products are often manufactured in small volumes and have quite a long lifespan. They are deployed under extreme conditions: significant temperature variations, high humidity levels, resistance to repeated shocks and vibrations… Under such circumstances, the level of quality required by our customers is very high.
To ensure compliant and reliable products, our internal training center trains annually a large number of staff (445 people in financial year 2018-2019). As such, the following certifications were issued:
These precious resources underpin the expertise of our operators in complex manual electronics assembly, notably in brazing, re-wiring, precision control, coating, resin treatment, integration of cards, PCBA & Product testing (Synor, ICT, FCT).
The current French plant boasts a machine fleet with an extensive range of technological equipment, featuring several modern SMD lines (including two ASM lines, 3D AOI and a selective wave) and selective coating robots.
Each product is subjected to a series of tests designed and performed by a team of experts who support our customers from the design phase in the definition of testing strategies:
Our strength in the Box Build field also stems from the responsiveness of our rapid prototyping unit, the management of our supply chain, and our Tunisian workshop dedicated to aeronautical customers.
Thanks to the complementarity of our three EN9100 sites (certification for France, Tunisia in 2020 and Germany in 2021) and our aeronautical certifications (PART21G/145, UL, Nadcap in the near future), we can support our customers from design to integration of their electronics projects.
Since February 2022, we house the products of our aeronautical customers in our electronics factory, Symbiose.
